Welcome to the OnlineCandidate Filing Process  


​Congratulations on your decision to run for public office!
 
Candidate Filing Week = Monday, May 15 - Friday, May 19

 
Filing by mail?  We must receive your filing form no later than May 19.

Last Day to Withdraw = Monday, May 22
 
Special 3-day filing period = If no one files for a position, Island County will hold a
special 3-day filing period (dates to be determined).
 
Candidate submissions received after Friday, May 19th will not be accepted.
 
To submit a Declaration of Candidacy online, you must meet the following requirements:
  • You must be a registered voter in the district for which you are filing.
  • You must have a valid credit or debit card (for offices with filing fees).
  • You must have a valid email address.
Candidates who file on line will receive:
  • An email confirming their filing for office
  • An email when another candidate files for the same office
  • An email containing information for the Online Voters Guide
  • An email containing information on campaign signs

​Candidates filing for office in Island County may also file:

In person:
  • Elections Office - Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - 400 N. Main St., Coupeville
  • Camano Annex - Monday through Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - 121 N. East Camano Dr., Camano Island
