On September 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., the Board of Island County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at the Island County Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room (Room #102B), located in the Island County Annex Building, 1 NE 6th Street, Coupeville, Washington, to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in Island County.

Up to $348,879 may be available to the County to fund CDBG public services and local microenterprise assistance programs; and public health, emergency response, or temporary housing facilities that address COVID-19 impacts . All CDBG funded activities must benefit low- and moderate-income persons or meet the CDBG urgent need national objective criteria.

The Board will be accepting testimony concerning the proposed Resolution from interested persons via telephone or video.
