The Detention Volunteer Program allows life skills and responsibility to be taught by members of our community. Community involvement is a critical piece of providing guidance and understanding to the youth in our detention facility.
Island County Juvenile Court is interested in volunteers with disciplinary skills that may benefit our community's youth. These skills could include spirituality, healthy living, recovery support, self-esteem building, or any other ability that may support our youth.

As a detention volunteer, you will be able to provide the support, guidance, and skills needed to contribute to the quality of life for our youth, as well as our community. All volunteers are thoroughly screened, supervised, and trained in juvenile detention procedures.
