Other Requirements

Marriage

  • A recorded copy of the marriage license if issued in the State of Washington
  • Out of state marriages licenses has to be certified copy

Divorce

  • Need photocopy of all pages from of the final decree with filed date stamp in order to change name on real property or manufactured home on leased land
  • If the other party to the divorce wants name change our office needs a photocopy of all pages of the final decree with filed date stamp

Joint Tenants with Right of Survivorship

  • Our office needs the auditor recording number of the certified copy of the death certificate

No community property agreement or will

Community property agreement and death certificate
  • In order to change the name the community property agreement has to be recorded and a certified copy of the death certificate

Trust

  • Complete photocopy of the Trust and a certified copy of the death certificate of the deceased trustee

Transfer on death deeds

  • Recorded copy of certified death certificate

Name change order issued by District Court

  • Certified copy of the order issued by District Court
