We have received word from our PEBB medical plan administrator that routine vision coverage will no longer be included in any of their PEBB medical plans beginning in 2025. If you are a member of LEOFF medical or are not enrolled in a medical plan with Island County, please disregard this email.
If you are currently enrolled in either the UMP Select or UMP CDHP medical plans, and you want vision coverage in 2025, you will need to enroll in our VSP voluntary vision plan during open enrollment. If you are already enrolled in the VSP buy-up vision you will not need to take any action.
The VSP voluntary family plan is $9.54/month. I have attached the VSP voluntary plan summary for your review. You will be able to enroll in this plan during open enrollment this fall.
Open enrollment takes place in October and November. We will be having in-person benefit fairs on Whidbey and Camano Islands during the week of Oct. 14-Oct. 18.
As we get closer to October, information will be sent out about the open enrollment process.
