How Do I Make A Payment


Making a payment by mail:  You may enclose a check or money order made payable to Island County District Court. Remember that we must be able to match your payment with the appropriate account. Please include your case number, citation number or the full name of the person for whom the payment is being made on the memo line. Please DO NOT send cash by mail.

Making a payment in person: You may make an in-person payment at Island County District Court. Payments can be made by check, money order, cash or by credit card. Island County District Court, 800 SE 8th Ave., Oak Harbor, WA 98277. The Court is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. The Court closes for most holidays.   

Making payment by credit card online or by phone: Payment may be made by credit card or online. Please be aware that the minimum fee (not set or collected by the court) of $4.99 for a credit card payment online or phone. Further, depending on the payment amount, the fee could be as high as 7 percent of the payment amount.

If you are having difficulties making a payment, you may contact the Island County District Court clerk. The Court has the ability to set up a payment plan, defer a monthly payment, modify the payment period and, in some cases, make appropriate adjustments according to your financial situation. Please do not wait until your financial obligation is sent to collections or, in some specific cases, your license is suspended by the Department of Licensing before you reach out for assistance.
